Scottsdale considering texting-while-driving banPosted: Updated:
SCOTTSDALE -- Scottsdale is considering following in Phoenix's footsteps and making texting while driving illegal.
The Scottsdale Transportation Commission has already condemned texting behind the wheel.
Next month, members of the STC will decided if they're going to urgs the city council to draft and approve a city ordinance making it against the law.
Before that, however, the commission wants to know what Scottsdale police think. They also want input from the public.
Last September, Phoenix became one of the first cities in the country to ban texting while driving.
