Police look for final suspect in series of Gilbert burglaries

The following news release was sent by the Gilbert Police Dept.:

GILBERT - Gilbert Police need your assistance. Between 08/27/2008 and 09/08/2008, four individuals were responsible for five burglaries in the Gilbert area. Three of the suspects have been arrested. The forth is still outstanding and is only known as "Austin". Austin is described as a W/M, 17 to 20 years old, 5-06 to 5-07, thin build, brown hair.


The first burglary in this series occurred on 08/27/2008 in the area of 1500 E Bruce Avenue. The homeowner came home to find three suspects in her home. She was confronted by the suspects. The suspects forced her into a closet at gunpoint.

Another burglary that occurred in the area of 800 E Bruce on 09/08/2008 was also interrupted by a homeowner coming home. This homeowner was able to escape from the residence. The suspects escaped before police could get on scene.

Gonzalez and Martinez were arrested and booked into jail on 09/08/2008. Campuzano was taken into custody at 1100 hours, today. He is currently being processed at Gilbert PD. He will be booked into the 4th Avenue Jail.

The suspects stole electronic equipment, jewelry, and guns during their burglary spree.

One suspect is still outstanding. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Austin is asked to contact the Gilbert Police Department or Silent Witness.
