Truck driver arrested in Prescott for extreme DUIPosted: Updated:
PRESCOTT - The following is a press release from the Prescott Police Department:
Yesterday morning, shortly after 8:00 A.M., 44-year old Texas resident Manuel A. Paz-Pocasangre was backing his semi truck and trailer into the loading bay at Lowe's, 2300 E. Hwy 69.The investigating officer viewed Lowes video footage which showed the driver, who is a supplier for Lowes, attempting to back into the loading docks on about 6-8 occasions when he eventually collided with the building which resulted in damage to the building as well as his tractor trailer.
Employees of Lowe's contacted Paz-Pocasangre in the driver's seat with the vehicle still running and called police after they suspected him of being intoxicated.Paz-Pocasangre was investigated for DUI and arrested.Preliminary investigation indicated he had a blood alcohol concentration of .249 percent. Paz-Pocasangre was booked in the Yavapai County Camp Verde jail for extreme DUI where he is being held on a $4,000.00 bond pending a May 12th court hearing.
