First large brushfire of the season burns in the west Valley>
TONOPAH - Fire Departments from Buckeye, Gila River and the Bureau of Land Management are on the scene of the first large brush fire of the spring.
Officials say the Powers Fire broke out late this morning in the Gila River bed and has grown from 5 to now 200 acres. The blaze is believed to be human caused.
So far no injuries and no structures are threatened.
