Teen burglary suspects arrested in MaricopaPosted: Updated:
The following is a press release from the Maricopa Police Department: MARICOPA -- On October 23, 2008 at about 10:35 AM, Maricopa police officers responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress in the 18000 block of N. Greenway Dr. in the Senita community.
Once on scene, police were able to quickly develop suspect information based on information provided by a witness. Officers had previous contact with at least one of the suspects described and knew the location of her residence. As the initial officers investigated the circumstances of the burglary to the house on Greenway, other officers responded to the suspect's residence on Harris Dr. There, officers located the suspect vehicle described by the witness. Officers were able to talk the residents out of the house and three suspects were detained.
The investigation revealed that the suspects had carried stolen items into the house on Harris Dr. Positive identification was made on David Wesley Holmes, 18, Stacy Moric-Kawaguchi, 18 and a 16 year old male juvenile. All three suspects, who each reside in the City of Maricopa, were found to be involved. Multiple pieces of stolen property were found inside the home on Harris Dr. and recovered.
Additionally, officers developed information that lead them to two other residences on Cowpath Dr. where stolen property was found and other evidence seized. All three suspects were arrested and transported to the Pinal County Jail facilities where they were booked on multiple counts of burglary and possession of stolen property.
Maricopa Police Detectives are working to identify any connection between these suspects and other criminal cases.
