Former Paradise Valley teacher pleads guilty in child pornography case
Thomas Warner By Mike Gertzman
PHOENIX -- A Paradise Valley teacher arrested for possessing child pornography pleaded guilty Thursday to sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.
Police said Thomas H. Warner confessed to collecting and viewing child pornography when he was arrested in February 2012.
Investigators said a computer repairman discovered pornographic images on Warner's laptop when he took it in for service. Police later found thousands of pictures and videos of boys aged 8 to 12 in his home.
Warner was a fourth-grade teacher at North Ranch Elementary School near 64th Street and Bell Road.
He originally was charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
