Sophie, 1 year old, female, Domestic Short Hair - Grey and White, $50

Hi, my name is Sophie and I love to be around people!

It doesn't matter if you have work to do. If there is even a little bit of room on your desk, I will happily curl up and help.

I am affectionate as can be. Anything makes me happy as long as I can be as close to my favorite human.

If you need an enthusiastic office assistant, desk organizer, snuggler, loyal and loving companion, look no further. I am perfect for the position.

Sophie might already be adopted, but for more information please call 602-273-6852 or visit .

The Arizona Animal Welfare League is open Tuesday-Friday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. We are located at 30 N. 40th Place in Phoenix.

AAWL is the state's oldest and largest no-kill shelter. Each animal is pre-screened by a pet behavior specialist and veterinarian. All dogs and cats have been spayed or neutered, are updated on their shots and will go home with a microchip inserted. Adoption fees and pet pictures and profiles are listed at , and all dogs and cats are ready for adoption immediately!

AAWL provides adoption, resource and education programs that improve the quality of life for dogs and cats. AAWL's shelter facilities provide a temporary home for nearly 2,400 dogs and cats every year, offering medical and behavioral treatment for those in need. Founded in 1971 by Amanda Blake, "Miss Kitty" of TV's "Gunsmoke" fame, AAWL's priority is to take in adoptable animals from other shelters where they might be euthanized and to care for them until each is adopted into a loving, lifetime home. AAWL receives no government funding and is supported solely by donations and memberships.
