Man reported missing on bus trip to Grand CanyonPosted: Updated:
FLAGSTAFF -- A man who was traveling with a group to the Grand Canyon was reported missing by his father.
Hans-Juergen Lauterbach contacted the Flagstaff Police Department via e-mail to report that his 20-year-old son, Klaus Lauterbach, was missing.
Flagstaff police Sgt. Michael Terrin said Hans last had contact with his son on Aug. 8 by text messaging.
Hans said Klaus received money from an ATM at the Greyhound bus station in Flagstaff on Aug. 9 at 8:29 a.m.
Klaus is reportedly traveling with a group on a Greyhound bus and was to visit the Grand Canyon when he went missing on Aug. 9.
Klaus, who is an Austrian citizen, has brown hair, blue eyes and a thin build.
