Police arrest Calif. man in murder of Phoenix teenPosted: Updated:
SCOTTSDALE -- Police have arrested a suspect in the case of a woman who was found shot to death in front of a Scottsdale home late last month.
Investigators located Brian Black, 25, in San Diego eight days after the murder of Tanya Paige. The San Diego Police Department and FBI helped take him into custody.
Police believe Paige, 18, was involved in prostitution and had been abducted the night before she was murdered. Evidence had led investigators to believe that Paige was shot while trying to flee the suspect's vehicle.
Woman's shooting death still a mystery - azfamily.com's Tyler Baldwin reports a sketch of a woman whose body was found in front of a Scottsdale home has been released.
She was found outside a home near 79th Street and Shea Boulevard on July 29, and for a time her identity was a mystery.
Detectives are now trying to determine if anybody else might have been involved in Paige's death.
Black, a resident of La Mesa, Calif., is being at the jail of San Diego County Sheriff's Office until he can be extradited to back to Arizona. He is facing charges of kidnapping and first-degree murder.
