Sierra Vista police stun teenager accused of shopliftingPosted: Updated:
SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. -- Police in Sierra Vista used a Taser on a 15-year-old boy accused of shoplifting.
A police spokesman says officers responded Tuesday evening to a call from a Safeway grocery store and recognized the two alleged shoplifters on a surveillance tape.
Police later went to an apartment complex where one of the suspects lives.
A police spokesman said an officer cornered one boy and used his Taser after the boy aggressively came after the officer.
The boy was cited for shoplifting and minor possession of alcohol.
Police are still looking for the other suspect but officers say they know who he is.
