Bullhead City establishes cooling stations

Posted: Updated:

BULLHEAD CITY -- When the power is off, Bullhead City will fire up a cooling station.

Concerns about the elderly and others being left in the heat when the power is off led Bullhead City officials to create a cooling station.

The city will operate the cooling off center when a power outage lasts three hours or more.

City officials emphasized the cooling off center will not operate unless there's been an extended power outage.

Also, pets will not be allowed in the cooling center.

Bullhead City had highs yesterday of 110 degrees.
