Crews battle 2 fires in Prescott caused by lightningPosted: Updated:
PRESCOTT - Crews are battling two fires believed to have been caused by lightning in Prescott on Monday evening.
The first fire dubbed the "Battle" fire is about 15 miles south of Phoenix and is burning about 50 acres in land that is not accessible terrain.
Prescott Fire Spokesperson Debbie Maneely tells 3TV they shuttled crews into the area via helicopters.
Two aerial tankers based out of Williams Gateway Airport in Mesa flew over the scene until the downpour of rain helped put out some of the flames.
