Suspect allegedly molested kidnapped girlPosted: Updated:
UPDATE: A 2-year-old girl was found after being taken from her home in Apache Junction Friday night.
Police say she was found about two miles away from the mobile home park where she lived and was taken to the Apache Junction Police Department.
Police say Alec Holtz, 21, took the girl. He was at the mobile home park visiting friends or family.
Investigators have determined that the child was touched inappropriately. After an examination, it was determined that the child is physically OK.
Holtz is being charged with one count of child molestation, one count of child endangerment and one count of kidnapping.
ORIGINAL REPORT APACHE JUNCTION - Police are searching for a 2-year-old girl who has been reported missing.
The Apache Junction Police Department responded to a call of a missing child in the 100 block of S. Ironwood. Officers were told a 2-year-old was missing.
The child's mother said she was in the laundry room as her kids were outside on Saturday afternoon. The mom told police she ran outside after she heard her daughter scream. When she asked the other children where the toddler was, they did not know.
