Drugs, guns and children taken from Avondale housePosted: Updated:
AVONDALE -- The following is a press release from the Avondale Police Department:
On February 26, 2009, Avondale Police arrested two suspects for possession of illegal drugs.
The arrests occurred at the 11800 block of West Belmont Drive, at 6:40 a.m. as a result of the Avondale Police Department Street Crimes Unit serving a search warrant.
Avondale Police seized over one pound of crystal methamphetamine, an undisclosed amount of cash, drug paraphernalia, five guns and a 2000 Jeep Cherokee.
Cristian Espinoza-Ibarra (23 years old) and Elsa Raquel Niebles-Parra (22 years old) were both booked for Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Child Protective Services (CPS) also responded to the residence. As a result of their investigation CPS removed four juveniles between the ages of 1 and 9 from the home.
