MESA -- More alleged victims have come forward to accuse a Mesa doctor of sexual abuse.
More alleged victims accuse Mesa doctor of abuse - Sixteen more alleged victims have come forward to accuse a Mesa doctor of fondling them during medical procedures.
With the complaints from 16 former patients, Dr. Richard Lewis is now facing 46 counts.
Police arrested Lewis, 53, early last month after two female patients said the cardiologist touched them inappropriately during exams.
The first woman told investigators said Lewis fondled her breasts during a pre-surgery examination in October.
The second reported incident took place in early June. That patient said she awoke from surgery to find Lewis' hands beneath her gown. She said he was squeezing her breasts.
Lewis is facing a variety of charges, including sexual assault, sexual abuse and assault.
