Bus evacuated, Haz-Mat called for LNG leak on Metro busPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Haz-Mat crews were called to Tatum and Paradise Lane after a city bus started leaking alternative fuel.
The bus was powered by LGN, or Liquid Natural Gas. The bus was evacuated once the leak was detected.
Police closed down Tatum between Paradise and Greenway while Haz-Mat crews tended to the bus.
No one was injured during the incident.
LGN is very combustible so precautions were taken to make sure no sparks would come in contact with the vaporizing fuel.
