2 Wounded in early morning shooting, no arrestsPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Two men are recovering after an early morning shooting in the West Valley.
It happened just after midnight near 37th and Dunlap avenues.
Police said the victims were in a truck that was approached by a group of men. The people in the truck apparently said something offensive and tempers flared.
The victims initially drove away but when they returned a short time later, bullets flew.
Police said it's possible that the shooter fired in self defense.
Both of the men in the truck were wounded. One was shot in the ankle, the other several times in the stomach. Both reportedly are in stable condition.
No arrests have been made.
