The law includes three main points. There is now a mandatory 24-hour waiting period. A provision allows pharmacists and health care providers to refuse to hand out emergency contraception on moral or religious grounds.
A Planned Parenthood spokesperson says she is concerned. "This new law is limiting a woman's decision to make a decision with her physician and with herself essentially."
Also, minors must now receive written, notarized consent from a parent or guardian.
