Escaped convict back in Winslow police custody

UPDATE: On Friday, September 19, Holland was arrested by the Phoenix GIITEM Metro Squad. Those who helped Holland escape will also be facing charges from the Winslow Police Department.

WINSLOW - The following is a press release from the Winslow Police Department:

The Winslow police are looking for Devon Holland, 19, black male who escaped from police custody.

Holland is a black male, 5'11'' tall, 180 pounds with a tattoo on his left and right arm.

On September 8th, Holland was arrested on a warrant for a shooting that occurred in June 2008 and a Department of Corrections warrant for Parole Violation.

Holland escaped from police custody while preparations were being made to transfer him to the Navajo County Jail in Holbrook, Arizona. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
