SCOTTSDALE -- A Scottsdale man was arrested for child pornography Friday morning.

Scottsdale police detectives served a search warrant at Robert Moran's address and found hundreds of child pornography images on his personal computer.

Prior to the warrant, detectives were able to determine that sexually exploitive images and videos of children 3 to 15 years old were being downloaded to a computer at the residence.

In addition, police say drugs and a handgun were found inside the home.

Moran was interviewed and made incriminating statements to investigators. He was arrested and booked into jail on multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

If convicted, Moran could serve a consecutive 10-year prison sentence for each image.
