Teen hit by car in Glendale, dragged along roadwayPosted: Updated:
GLENDALE -- A 15 year old boy was hit by a car in Glendale around 5:30pm Tuesday evening.
The incident happened near the intersection of 59th avenue and Thunderbird.
According to police, the boy was riding his bicycle in a crosswalk but against the light when he swerved to avoid hitting a truck.
During the maneuver, he was struck by a southbound car on 59th avenue and dragged by the vehicle until it stopped.
The boy suffered road rash and possibly a broken leg.
The boy was transported to JCL for his injuries.
