Hill's jumper with 5.6 seconds remaining gives Suns preseason win over HawksPosted: Updated:
ATLANTA (AP) -- The Phoenix Suns have evened their preseason record at 2-2.
Grant Hill made an 18-foot jump shot with 5.6 seconds left to give the Suns a 102-100 win over the Atlanta Hawks last night.
Raja Bell scored 18 points and Boris Diaw added 15 points for Phoenix.
Steve Nash scored 11 points before leaving with a sprained right ankle with a little more than two minutes left in the first half.
The Suns say Nash may be held out of tomorrow's game against the Denver Nuggets at Syracuse, New York, as a precaution.
Shaquille O'Neal was in street clothes, getting the night off while Phoenix coach Terry Porter looked at some smaller lineups.
Rookie Robin Lopez, the 15th overall pick in this year's draft, had nine points and nine rebounds while starting for O'Neal.
Amare Stoudemire and Leandro Barbosa also did not play for the Suns.
Stoudemire is nursing a torn iris in right eye while Barbosa just returned to the team this week after being with his ailing mother in Brazil.
