Canal rescue caught by 3TV cameras

PHOENIX -- A woman was pulled from her vehicle after it had gone into a canal near 16th street and Indian School road.

The incident happened Friday night. The woman thought she was turning into the Goodwill store.

Her car fell into the canal waters and hit the rim of a short drop, where the water picks up speed.

Rescue crews tied her to a safety harness and pulled the 57 year-old woman from the vehicle.

Divers will have to assist tow trucks pull the vehicle from the water.
