Early morning apartment fire forces 8 to find new home

8 forced out of their home by fire

PHOENIX - Eight people have been forced to find another place to live after an early morning apartment fire.

It started around 3 a.m. Saturday near 35th Avenue and Northern.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to one apartment.

However, that unit is considered a total loss.

A second apartment did suffer from water damage.

It is unclear what sparked the flames and investigators are looking into a cause.

No one was injured.
