PHOENIX -- Former Maricopa County Schools Superintendent Sandra Dowling has been sentenced after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of employing a relative.
A judge sentenced Dowling to four months probation and her son, who also pleaded guilty, was sentenced to two years probation. He will also have to pay a $1,000 fine.
PHOENIX -- Former Maricopa County Schools Superintendent Sandra Dowling has made a plea change in her case.
She was facing 13 criminal counts, but Friday she pleaded guilty to employment of a relative, a class two misdemeanor.
Dowling could get four months in jail and be fined up to $750 when she is sentenced August 26th.
She is also involved in a civil suit with the County Board of Supervisors.
