20 Hydroponic pot plants found in Surprise house

SURPRISE - A man is in custody after hydroponic marijuana plants were discovered inside a Surprise residence.

The H.I.D.A. task force, sponsored by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, on Tuesday discovered the plants as they served a search warrant at a house in the 15000 block of W. Lundgren.

MCSO reports that detectives found 20 hydroponic pot plants being harvested in one of the back bedrooms of the residence.

Robert Gray, 25, was arrested and faces several felony charges.

MCSO reports that these types of marijuana plants can yield up to 40 pounds each, with a street value of about $4,000 a pound.
