Pistons draft Arizona's Budinger 44th overallPosted: Updated:
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- The Detroit Pistons have picked Arizona forward Chase Budinger in the second round with the 44th overall pick in the NBA draft.
Detroit drafted Gonzaga forward Austin Daye 15th overall last night, then selected Georgetown forward DaJuan Summers and forward Jonas Jerebko of Sweden early in the second round before taking Budinger.
The Pistons wanted to bolster a frontcourt that likely will be without Rasheed Wallace and Antonio McDyess next season. They tried to do just that with each of their four picks.
