PHOENIX -- Maricopa County sheriff's deputies arrested two illegal immigrants for selling pirated movies and music Wednesday morning.
Deputies arrested Karina Romero-Figueroa, 24, and Judith Romero-Figueroa, 27, at the Mercado near Eagle Eye Road and U.S. 60 near Wickenburg.
The two suspects admitted to selling pirated movies and music titles for $5 apiece for the past year, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
During the raid at the Mercado, deputies recovered 1,252 movies and more than 1,800 music CDs and MP3s.
Some of the movie titles included "Transformers," "Ice Age" and "Up," all of which are still in theaters.
One suspect fled deputies, leaving two teenage children behind, and is still at large.
Those children are currently with Child Protective Services.
Sheriff's officials were contacted by a local private investigation firm that is working for the Recording Industry of America.
