Man shot twice in stomach, possible road ragePosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Witnesses say that a road rage incident in the West Valley ended with a man being shot twice in the stomach.
The encounter occured around 6:30pm near the intersection of 59th avenue and Thomas.
The victim, a 34-year old Hispanic male, was driving an older-model white Ford Ranger when he got out of the vehicle and told witnesses that he was being chased.
Immediately after a grey-colored SUV drove up and shot the man.
After being shot, the man stumbled up to a house and asked the witness to dial 9-1-1.
Police believe the man who was shot was intoxicated and communication has been difficult with the victim.
The suspect is described as a white male.
