MESA - A Valley woman accused of killing her ex-boyfriend has a new story about what happened.

Jodi Arias, 28, sits in jail accused of killing her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander. The two had a passionate relationship for about five months then Alexander was found dead inside his Mesa home.

He had been shot, stabbed 27 times and had his throat cut ear to ear. Police say they have a bloody palm print linking Arias to the crime.

Earlier this month in an interview with 3TV she claimed she had no idea who killed Alexander but that has now changed.

In a new interview with the TV news magazine "Inside Edition" she dropped this bombshell: "I witnessed Travis being attacked by two other individuals." When asked who, she replied, "I don't know who they were. I couldn't pick them out in a police line-up." When the interviewer asks Arias what happened, she replies, "They came into his home and attacked us both."

Arias says she ran from the home leaving Alexander behind to die. She also told "Inside Edition" she was too scared to call police. "I'm not proud that I left my friend there to be slaughtered at the hands of two other people. I'm not proud of that at all."

Mesa police tell 3TV this is the first time they have heard this story. If convicted, Arias could face the death penalty but still she says, "No jury is going to convict mebecause I'm innocent and you can mark my words on that. No jury will convict me."
