Police hope video leads to clues in homicide

RAW: Surveillance video from night of crime

Homicide detectives would like to release a copy of a surveillance video in hopes that someone may recognize a subject. They have exhausted all leads in this case. In the video, the victim is chasing a subject on a bicycle. The victim had been stabbed and later died at the scene before police arrived. We are trying to identify who is riding the bicycle to see what kind of information he can provide.

On Monday, July 28th at about 5:25am officers responded to a call of unknown trouble at 4100 N 75th Ave and found a male victim lying on the ground near a block wall at 7501 W Devonshire Rd. The victim was later identified as Juan Carlos Renteria-Zurita, a Hispanic male, 4-10-71.
