Skylights Scholar Jared Kirschner

PHOENIX - The latest M & I Bank Skylights Scholar Award winner is Jared Kirschner from Barry Goldwater High School.

The four sport athlete holds a weighted grade point average of 4.83.

He has played soccer all four years, track and field for three years, cross-country for the past two and played baseball his freshman year.

In addition to being so active with athletics, he has been a part of Mu Alpha Theta holding the office of Vice President last year and President in his senior year.

He has also volunteered his time in the school bookstore and tutored his peers.

He also enters in many of the charitable races held around the Valley each year.

He said running has taught his to push himself far beyond his perceived physical limitations using sheer willpower.

Next year Kirschner hopes to attend Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, Washington University in St. Louis or Harvey Mudd College.
