Brothers arrested for truckstop murderPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Two brothers have been arrested for a murder at a truck stop on June 1.
The victim, Eduardo Prieto, 36, was talking to friends in the truck stop parking lot near 59th Avenue and McDowell Road when a suspect approached and shot him in the head.
The suspect then fled the area in a waiting vehicle.
Prieto was transported to a local hospital where he died.
On Wednesday, officers arrested two brothers for the shooting.
Phoenix police detectives say Gustavo Perez-Morodo, 36, shot the victim execution style and Juan Carlos Perez-Morodo, 38, drove the getaway car.
Gustavo was booked on first-degree murder charges and Juan Carlos was booked for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
A motive for the murder is under investigation.
