We're just weeks away from Super Bowl XLIX and the mayors of Phoenix and Glendale say they're as prepared as they can be for the big game. More than 40 law enforcement agencies, at all levels, will work together to keep the public safe.
Wednesday, city officials gathered for a tabletop exercise. They went through every possible public safety scenario to make sure they are as ready as possible come Super Bowl week.
"Glendale is in charge of Super Bowl safety on game day, but they've got the full support of the City of Phoenix, and City of Phoenix law enforcement," said Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton at Wednesday's news conference.
The Director of Homeland Security for the City of Phoenix said their safety plans are all laid out, and they are working on the logistics of those plans.
