PHOENIX (CBS5) -

If you're looking to purchase a new Porsche, do it this weekend and help out a local animal shelter at the same time.

The Porsche North Scottsdale auto dealership located at 18000 North Scottsdale Road hosted a dog adoption clinic Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and the business was brisk for Porsches and pooches.

Porsche dealer Kevin Campbell said, "We've raised $4,500 so far and should have a much better total by the end of the day."

The Porsche North Scottsdale dealership will donate $500 bucks to HALO Animal Rescue for every car sold over the weekend.

The three-day fundraiser will go on through closing time at the dealership Sunday.

HALO Animal Rescue is a no-kill facility that is a safety net for thousands of homeless dogs and cats each year. HALO stands for Helping Animals Live On.
