PRESCOTT, AZ (CBS5) -

A small plane went off the end of a runway in Yavapai County on Wednesday morning, injuring two people onboard.

The plane remained right side up, according to Yavapai County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn.

The pilot is identified as Ronald Manette, 61, Lakeside, AZ, according to Yavapai County sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn.

His passenger was Grady Hillis, 48, also from Lakeside. They are both expected to be OK.

The FAA was notified just before 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Witnesses said the incident happened during a takeoff maneuver at the Rimrock Airport, D'Evelyn said.

It wasn't clear where the plane was headed.
