Manhunt Monday: AK-47-toting robber still sought

Phoenix police are still searching for a gunman armed with an AK-47 who robbed a Phoenix discount store Jan. 3.

The gunman entered the Family Dollar store at 3555 W. Van Buren St. at 6:37 p.m. wearing what was described as a gray-hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The suspect pointed the weapon at the clerk and demanded money from the cash registers, said Phoenix Officer James Holmes.

After getting the cash, the suspect left the store and fled the area.

The suspect is described as Hispanic and appeared to be around 25 years old. He is 5'6" and weighs 170 pounds. 

The suspect ran out of the store and got into a red or maroon, four-door sedan, police said.

Police are also looking for 35-year-old Curtis Spencer. He is wanted for probation violation for failing to register as a sex offender.

Spencer is described as 6'1" and weighs 180 pounds. He has a shaved head and brown eyes. He has "Dusty" tattooed on his left arm, "Mary" on his right arm and a moon on his right shoulder.

There's also a warrant out for the arrest of 25-year-old Keri Murphy. She is wanted for skipping out on drug and credit card theft charges.

Murphy is described as 5' and weighs 115 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.
