PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A SkyWest flight was evacuated on Tuesday afternoon at Sky Harbor International Airport after smoke was reported in the cabin, an airline official said.

Flight 2948 with 64 passengers and four crew members on board was en route to Los Angeles from Albuquerque with a scheduled stopover in Phoenix.

American Airlines spokesman Matt Miller said while taxiing to the gate at around 3:30 p.m., "we noticed smoke in the cabin."

Mike Brillhart, a passenger in another plane behind the SkyWest flight, said they were delayed about 15 minutes.

"We saw them unloading people off the (other plane) and all kinds of security personnel around the plane," Brillhart said.

Passengers were deplaned and boarded buses to get re-checked by TSA and catch connecting flights.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Officials are trying to determine the cause of the smoke.

SkyWest is a US Airways express plane.
