PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A Phoenix police motorcycle officer was hurt in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night.

The officer was heading south on 32nd Street about 9:30 p.m. when a vehicle turned left in front of him at Grovers Avenue, Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said.

The officer suffered serious injuries, but Thompson said they did not appear to be life-threatening.

No other information, including the officer's identity, was immediately available and Thompson said the investigation was continuing.
