TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
A family of four was rescued by firefighters in a south Toledo apartment fire on Sunday.
Just before 7 a.m., firefighters were called to Arlington South apartments, 3309 Arlington Avenue.
According to the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department, smoke was scene coming from a third floor window of the three-story apartment building.
When firefighters entered the building, they found a family of four trapped inside their apartment. Firefighters brought a ladder to the third-floor window, guiding each of the four family members out one-by-one.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Six people in total, two families, were displaced by the fire. They are receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
