For the third year in a row more people in Arizona died from guns than in car crashes.
In 2011, 964 people were killed by guns while 872 died in car crashes, according to a report done by the Violence Policy Center in Washington, D.C.
Arizona is one of 14 states where gun deaths outpace traffic deaths.
In the U.S., 90 percent of households own cars while only a third own a gun.
