Driver rescued after getting stuck in running water

Emergency crews from the Rural/Metro Fire Department rescued a driver from a stalled vehicle that was stuck in running water on Tucson's south side.

According to a news release, the vehicle stalled while crossing the running water at about 9:40 this morning at Drexel and Country Club.

Crews found the vehicle stuck with water running above the rear bumper. A crew of four were able to walk to the vehicle and help the driver to dry ground.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning this morning for east central Pima County until noon.
