Geddes gets seventh Top-10 finish at WAC Championship

The Grand Canyon University men's golf team today completed action at the Western Athletic Conference Golf Championships, held at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nev.

New Mexico State won the team title after carding a 54-hole total of eight-under 856. The Aggies finished 10 strokes ahead of second-place finisher Idaho. Utah Valley finished third.

Pat Beyhan of New Mexico State won individual medalist honors with a three-round score of six-under 210. He defeated teammate Kenneth Fadke by two strokes.

GCU's Mark Geddes finished in a tie for fifth at one-over 217. It marks the seventh top-10 finish for the senior this season after carding a team-best round of one-over 73 in today's action. Geddes finished with the second-best Par 4 scoring (even), while he tied for tops with two eagles.

Anthony Maccioli tied for 14th with a three-round total of five-over 221, two strokes ahead of teammate Mariano Rossi, who tied for 17th overall. Rossi matched Geddes with two eagles in the tournament, while also tying for the second-best mark on Par 5 scoring (seven under).

Alec Dahlquist rounded out GCU's finishers within the top-20 by tying for 20th with a score of nine-over 225. Hayden Webb tied for 25th at 12-over 228.
