DCSS athletic appeal deniedPosted: Updated:
The Dougherty County School System loses an appeal to a decision the superintendent says gives some other schools a competitive sports advantage.
The Georgia High School Association moved Thomas County Central and Bainbridge High School down to the region where the Albany schools play even though those schools have enrollments that are too high for the 4-A class.
"It's unfair that they're playing and dressing out 100 kids in football or 90 and we're dressing out 40 and it's an injury prone situation to where our kids could get hurt," said Dr. David C. Moseley
The superintendent made an appeal to the Georgia High School Executive Committee in Macon today. It was denied. He says he'll continue to push for changes.
