A downed power pole cut off electricity and closed a major street in a Phoenix industrial area early Tuesday morning.
Police said a woman had just dropped a person at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport about 4 a.m., but fell asleep and hit a wooden power pole, knocking it to the ground.
The woman was not hurt and her badly damaged SUV was towed away, but University Drive was shut down between 44th to 45th streets.
There was no word how much of the area was without power.
No other information was immediately available.
