Scottsdale police said a 65-year-old man who went missing while taking his dog for a walk Sunday was found early Tuesday in Central Phoenix.

Officer David Pubins said Raymond Grey, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, was found with his dog near Thomas Road and Central Avenue.

Grey went to walk his dog about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 13200 block of North 94th Place, just north of Sweetwater Avenue, and never returned, police said.

Pubins said Grey was a bit disoriented and couldn't recount what happened over the 32 hours he was missing, but was otherwise in good health.

He was taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure, Pubins said.
