HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A new CT Fastrak-branded bus made its debut Friday in Hartford.

The state Department of Transportation announced that the unveiling took place at the Hartford Hilton on Trumbull Street.

DOT Commissioner James Redeker, DOT Transit Administrator Michael Sanders, MetroHartford Alliance President Oz Griebel and other community leaders said they were on hand for the event.

CT Fastrak is a 9-mile-long express busway that will run from New Britain to downtown Hartford.

Businesses along the route complained that the construction along the route was hurting them.

The DOT said the whole busway project was expected to be completed by the end of the year.
