Bear ring rattles, bunny toys being recalled by Vera Bradley due to choking hazardPosted: Updated:
Vera Bradley has recalled bear ring rattles and bunny toys because those items are posing a choking hazard to young children, according to a company release.
Company officials said the pom-pom tail on the bear ring rattles and bunny stuffed toys "can detach from the body of the bear rattle and the bunny," which can lead to children choking on them.
There have been two reports of the pom-pom tails detaching, however no injuries were reported.
"Consumers should immediately take them away from young children and stop using these recalled products and return them to Vera Bradley for a full refund," the company said in a release on Wednesday.
According to Vera Bradley officials, 98,000 units have to be recalled. The following items are being recalled:
- Bunny Lola with the serial number 007590013357145
- Bunny Lillie Bell with the serial number 0000630012803140
- Bunny Tutti Frutti with the serial number 0000630012803142
- Bear Ring Rattle Lola with the serial number 007590013234135
The popular baby items are sold at local retail stores, department stores and specialty gift shops as well as online.
