The primary election is just one week away, and the number of people with no party affiliation continues to outnumber voters in recognized political parties.
The number of Independent voters has risen by 18,201 since March 2014, according to the Secretary of State's Office.
Registered Democrats fell by 16,036 and registered Republican numbers dropped to 7,447.
The Libertarian and Americans Elect parties grew slightly, Kim Crawford of the Secretary of State's Office said.
