CBP: Attempted murderer, 3 sex offenders arrested at border

An attempted murderer, three convicted sex offenders and two gang members have been arrested so far this month by Tucson border patrol agents, according to authorities.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection said a man convicted of two counts of attempted murder, and two counts of bodily injury, and one count of the transportation and sale of a controlled substance. Another suspect was convicted of sexual assault, and two were convicted of child molestation.

CBP said the six suspects, from Honduras and Mexico, were previously charged, convicted and removed from the U.S. All were detained for immigration violations.

One of the MS-13 gang members was arrested for human smuggling.
